Puya mirabilis

In Essence Trials, Flower Remedies on February 22, 2009 at 2:09 am

Puya ( pooy-yah ) mirabilis is one of the Earth-dwelling Bromeliads that belongs to ‘the ancestral’ sub-family – the Pitcairnoidiae. Like all other Bromeliads from this sub-class, Puya mirabilis must have an Earth-bound root connection in order to survive.
Looking very ‘grass like’ in appearance, this puya species has large buttercup yellow flowers which are borne on a flower spike that is 1m in length. As of yesterday, the plant in my garden has come into bloom.
The key words for this essence are ‘falling apart’ or ‘unraveling at the seams’. This useful essence – which is nearing the end of essence trials and will soon be released – ‘holds you together’ when you feel as though your world is falling apart.
