What Inspires Your Thinking?

In Homework on April 3, 2009 at 9:07 am

Much of the time we use our thoughts to propel us, steer our lives and move us in new directions. But, when you step back and look at this, are we really moving in new directions or are we merely following the same old paths of the past?

For today, I want you to practice noticing your thoughts and in particular, the ‘train of thoughts’ you have. I want you to ask yourself these questions…

Q. What are my thoughts inspired by – this moment or the past?

Q. Am I thinking creatively ( freely ) or are my thoughts old and based upon my past?

Q. Do I believe that I am a ‘free thinker’ or am I really following the same old tracks-in-the-mind?

Q. Are my choices limited to what I think?
